| I am nearing retirement and would like to relocate, so I am casting a net to learn if I can make new friends and where. I would describe myself as a mild-mannered type of guy. Think of Clark Kent or Ted Lasso, but older now and not as charming. My kids, now young adults, are surely still the focus of my life, but I do stay engaged in the serious matters happening in the world around us. |

| I'm not quite sure what I seek. I do get lonely, but not sure if I want to ever go down a dating path again or not. I have not tried to date since my divorce about seven years ago. I have tried to focus on my kids and work. Whatever I find, I would like it to be quality and lasting, so that feels more like the need of a sound friendship. And what do I seek in friends? I seek kindness in individuals, and I hope for probing discussions of what we have learned and are still hoping to learn about life. And I certainly need laughing. |
