| I have been vegetarian for 26 years. I don't drink milk although occasionally I eat organic cheese made with vegetal rennet. I also eat free-range eggs and one day I would love to take care of my own chickens. I am waiting for the right person to move with me for that. I turned vegetarian when I saw a pig being slaughtered. I realised then, the suffering behind the meat that my mum purchased at the supermarket as if it was just another product. I asked her to prepare vegetarian meals for me and she was reluctant, claiming that I would get sick. Well, I promised her that I would eat meat again if it was the case. So far, so good. Obviously I have got colds and headaches from time to time, but nothing threatening my diet. I hope it will continue, although I would not eat meet again even if I get sick. |
