| I was vegetarian for five years prior, and I eventually revised my ideas to the point that I have transitioned to vegan. I started, and shall remain, with this lifestyle for ethical reasons and animal rights. I'm not entirely sure if it's a healthier lifestyle, and though I pay attention to my health, that's not the driving force behind this decision. |

| Music, bicycles, and science, that's pretty much how to summarize me. I'm a nerd; yeah, that too. I'm working on my PhD in chemical/materials engineering within the realm of alternative energy, so that's pretty cool. I tend to step out of situations and analyze them, especially over technology: how far is too far? Am I developing technologies to help people and enable their lives, or to limit them? I think a great day would involve biking to a secluded area at night, and discussing how the world does and should work. Aside from that, humor is a major part of who I am, and I like it to be absurd. Well, I'll just honestly break it down: I'm not all that neat; I like video games (portal!); I hope to touring the country some day on my bicycle; I like individuals, but I'm pessimistic about crowds; I don't feel a need to constantly attempt happiness, there's a beauty in sadness; really, I'm a bit dark and brooding over everything, but I often play devil's advocate, depending on the situation; I don't do tattoos or piercings; alcohol, cigarettes, and other toxins really bother me; I'd love to teach kids in after-school programs - science, bicycle repair, anything; I wish I had infinite money to just bike the world and help those in need; I want to save the world. |
