| I have been a vegan for 20 years, and I was a vegetarian for 10 years before becoming a vegan. Veganism is part of my ongoing commitment to nonviolence in all aspects of my life. |

| More About Me |
| My friends describe me as honest, caring, playful, adventuresome, thoughtful, as well as both serious and funny. I am looking to share my life in a connected, intentional relationship with a kindhearted and down-to-earth man. Although I am somewhat of a "thinker" (I've done some writing, activism, and teaching), I am most happy when doing just about anything outdoors and connected to the earth. Hiking boots, sandals, and "tenny runners" are my preferred footwear (I don't own a single pair of "heels"--and don't wear makeup or know how to wield a curling iron). I enjoy the company of animals, and two cats live with me, one sweetheart and a grumpy one. They are both rescue cats. I have also been a vegan for animal justice reasons for over 20 years. This past summer, I spent some time volunteering at Farm Sanctuary in New York and found it to be a very rich and important experience. I have a secure job, but am actively investigating employment opportunities in other areas of the country with the intention of moving out of North Dakota within a year or so. The Colorado Front Range is currently the frontrunner on my list of possibilties. I am also considering the possibility of living in a vegan intentional community. This mobility makes it a good time to be exploring a possible relationship with someone outside of my current area! I have been a visual artist for a number of decades, and successful with that as a career. However, I am moving towards writing as my creative endeavor, or perhaps a mix of the two. |
