| Why I'm Vegan |
| I am an ethical vegan lady with a big heart for this wondrous planet and the majority of its inhabitants. Maintaining a cruelty-free lifestyle is very important to me, because I believe that all sentient creatures deserve our respect without being harmed. Therefore I will always try to be compassionate towards their needs, no matter whether they are human beings or innocent animals. It seems rather ironic that herbivores are required to explain their grounds for choosing this diet, while in fact this question should be addressed to the non-vegan population. The latter are the ones who have a highly questionable motivation for still blatantly consuming, using and wearing animal products. |

| More About Me |
| I would describe myself as a kind, sensitive, altruistic, responsible, dependable, modest, inquisitive, down-to-earth woman preferring the company of benevolent individuals who understand what is truly important. At times I can become somewhat overwhelmed when others do not show the same amount of empathy, yet never give up trying to be the best person I can be. I am convinced that we should show love and gratitude daily to the people around us who bring us joy, because life is short. Although the pessimist in me realizes that the perfect society will never exist, I am definitely optimistic enough to still attempt working towards it. I simply just dream of a better tomorrow, while trying to live my life accordingly. Scholastically, I have degrees both as a social worker and special education teacher. My field of employment has so far consisted of assisting children and adults with various sorts of disabilities. I have chosen this type of profession because of my humanitarian viewpoint that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve his or her full potential, if needed with some support from others. The dedication required is quite demanding, but the steps of progress (however small) and their glowing faces are the greatest reward. I enjoy being outdoors and embarking on worldwide adventures to admire nature's treasures, while taking the scenic route and cherishing every moment along the way. My favorite travel style entails road tripping, backpacking and camping, as the journey itself is the destination and spontaneous decisions are grand. I feel fortunate for having already had plenty of opportunities to explore many amazing countries across all continents, which has always been a mentally enriching and rewarding experience. My other interests include interacting with cordial humans, smiling and returning smiles, volunteering, organic gardening, preparing and sharing herbivorous food, cycling, hiking, finding wilderness, observing wildlife, appreciating nature with all senses, listening to smart music, taking pictures with my eyes or a camera, sleeping, nurturing, questioning, answering, loving, learning, evolving... |
