| Why I'm Vegetarian |
| I find it hard to explain why I’m a vegetarian without going on the defensive and jumping up on a soapbox. Being from central Wisconsin, I’m surrounded by the whole “hunting, farming, fishing” way of life and people just don’t understand the concept of compassion for creatures other than themselves. My love for animals is the key. I believe they deserve to live their lives free of fear and pain. Because society is the way it is and we can’t change it overnight and just because those poor creatures are destined wind up on someone’s plate, doesn’t mean they have to suffer all the way there. I’m a vegetarian because I care. |

| More About Me |
| I love all animals but have a special bond with my cats. I have quite a few and I foster. I don’t have a dog only because I don’t have the amount of time I feel is necessary for one. I don’t believe in keeping a dog in a kennel all day while I’m at work. I’m single and probably will be for a long time as there aren’t any vegetarian cat lovers where I live or in the surrounding areas. Oh well, I like to read and watch movies and spend a lot of time in my garden when not working or remodeling, always something to do at home. What's a girl to do, sulk? Not me. **UPDATE** 12/28/15 It has been suggested by some that my “about me” section is a bit pessimistic so I will attempt to give a better description of me and what I am looking for….so here it goes. I am and have been described as a nice person with a nice personality. Of course who’s mother wouldn’t say that about her kids :-) my siblings on the other hand…would say that too but would quickly follow it up with “as long as you don’t piss her off.” I lead a pretty busy life with work, school. Love being outside with my camera. That being said, I’m looking for someone who can pick up and head for the woods on a moments notice, able to hike 5 miles or more…..a day on the golf course works for me too...although I haven't done that in a while, rather be hiking or camping. Not opposed to vegging out on the couch for a good movie either. I love to laugh and, if my windows are open, can probably be heard down the street when watching “Wipe Out.” |

| I'm Looking For |
| Another reason I’m single (not that I want to stay that way forever), I have a list of what I look for in a man (in my head not written down, that’s just silly). To name just a few of the things I look for…tall or at least taller than me and has to like cats. Vegetarian or vegan or really really close to becoming one; someone not looking to start a family; someone who’s caring and compassionate and yet not a push over. I’m a romantic so I’m looking for someone I can take walks with, sit in front of fireplace with, cuddle and swing in a hammock on a cool summer afternoon with but who can also kick my butt in gear when I’m slacking off in my workout. They say there’s that special someone for everyone and if that’s true well than I have come to the conclusion that my “Mr. Right” died some time ago, but I thought I would give this a try anyway. |
