| Why I'm Vegan |
| Short answer : feels better - makes sense to me. Long answer as this form wants one : I am 98% vegan ( i eat some "quark" ( no english word for that ) and some unpasteurized butter and goatscheese , but very little and sometimes some cream in my espresso .) I have been vegetarian since 30 years and changed my diet in July this year to (almost) vegan, no sugar, no gluten, no soya, 70% raw, and one green smoothie ( with wild herbs/ wild-green-leaves) as one meal per day . Has been a major change even for someone who has been vegetarian for so long . I had been struggling with cravings for sweet stuff and did not find a way to stop it until i started with the green smoothies. Quite amazing really and the change feels fantastic. Reasons to be vegan are so obvious - anyone can google them and there is nothing to say about it which has not been said already and great detail other than that it makes sense. I enjoy cooking and experimenting - dont really follow recipes, its more like meditation.... |

| More About Me |
| Short answer : find out - somehow its better to talk than to write much here - the sound of a voice is quite important to me Long answer : I find this really difficult - I am a human being , trying to find out how to live a reflective, authentic, compassionate, intense, loving. honest life - free from reactions to ones own conditioning, free inside understanding and being aware of behaviour patterns which might be sheer reactions rather than a free movement integrating ALL aspects of living. I feel i have learned some of the things Jiddu Krishnmaurti talked about and certainly have beens inspired by what he had to say - far from putting into practice what i intellectually understand but getting better. I need to be alone every so often. I have travelled a lot ( cycled around the world with a now ex-boyfriend for 4 years) , have lived in the UK (4years) , the US(1 year), India (1year) and need some internationality in my life , need to see beyond the horizon, step out of the box again and again to not fall asleep , have worked in many different feels , (education, catering, project management , adobe/clay plastering, bookshop, marketing, fundraising, film making - in no particular order ) - still searching , still smiling, .... |
