Why I'm Vegan
There are many reasons why I have chosen a vegan lifestyle. It may seem extreme to some, but the alternatives are just as extreme, but hidden from public understanding. Animal Cruelty - It fills me with rage and sadness upon seeing how humanity feeds itself and creates luxuries out of loving sentient beings and the barbaric way in which they go about it. Milk cows and hens for egg production receive some of the most brutal treatment out of all animals used in food production. It's a life that I can never be a part of again. Environmental Impact - 70 percent of our landmass is used for animal based food production. Thousands of gallons of fresh water to produce just one pound of meat. Ancient rainforests are cut down for grazing land. Livestock is the largest producer of greenhouse gases, more than all industrialized transportation combined! If anybody wants to be truly "environmentally conscious", the only way to "walk the walk" is to become vegan. Health - It's no surprise that two thirds of Americans are obese and that heart disease is the number one killer. So many other diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cancer etc. are attributed to an animal based diet. People never stop to think that they are consuming milk from another species and how wrong that really is! And the health risks are daunting. The book "The China Study" was an eye opener! Animal waste in such staggering quantity is so highly toxic that it affects the entire food chain. The animals are pumped with horrific hormones for unnaturally fast growth and yield not to mention the antibiotics just to keep them alive long enough to harvest. Transitioning to a vegan lifestyle for some is very simple and for others it is a rough process. I am the only non carnivore in my family. I still love them very much but we all have to choose our own path in life. The facts that I listed above are simply facts and not my opinion. There are many medical professionals who have written extensively on the subject. I've learned these facts from respected doctors, scientists and champions of, in my humble opinion, a much better way to live. Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn Jr. Dr. Dean Ornish Dr. T. Colin Campbell Dr. Joel Fuhrman John Robbins These are just a few of the most knowledgeable luminaries in a growing pool of advocates for a plant based diet. If you would like to learn more about the truth of what you are eating, the above authors will provide you with a ocean of knowledge.

More About Me
I am a laid back vegan living in New York City. I recently became a vegan (for about three months) after being a vegetarian for ten years. I just couldn't look at myself in the mirror anymore knowing that I was complicent in the torture, suffering and murder of beautiful creatures whilst remaining a vegetarian. It took me a while to understand it with my heart and not just my head. I have filled my shelves with a library full of vegan and raw food cookbooks. With several thousand recipes to choose from, I'm sure I'll not only have options, but my biggest problem is what should I cook next, or in the case of raw, not cook next? I am a professional photographer but work full time as a Product Marketing Manager which does involve photography but it is just one of my many responsibilities. I am also starting my own web based photo education business so I may in the near future have enough time to truly live a life of adventure and chase my passions. My goal in life is that when I'm an old man, I can tell stories to the youngsters in my family of my life which may seem right out of an adventure novel, but are just my daily experiences. I love many things such as animals, music, reading, writing, playing (or trying to) learn to play guitar, nature, sing (even though people within earshot don't exactly love it as much as I do), adventure, travel, 3D modeling and animation, photography (of course), film-making, bicycles & cycling, fitness, cooking tasty vegan and raw food delights, laughing until tears stream down my face, leaning foreign languages, hypnosis and NLP, technology and gadgets, science, tattoos, star gazing, art, witty banter, comedy, nature, scuba diving and so much more! I have so many things I have never done but would love to do/learn such as flying an airplane and helicopter, ride a horse (I know I'm a city boy!) and ski just to name a few. My ultimate dream would be to open a chain of "fast food" vegan restaurants where somebody can pick up healthy and wholesome delicious meal in every major city and airport. I haven't started the planning stages yet, but imagine the possibilities!

I'm Looking For
Basically I am looking for an bright, alluring, confident, & independent woman who can make me laugh until I cry, think until I experience small explosions of enlightenment or, possibly until I stare off into space with my eyes glazed over in an intellectual stupor, whichever comes first, and finally a lover with the potential to make most erotica pale by comparison to her fire. Three first date rules must be religiously followed:1) I would prefer not to talk about marriage and children before at least, let's say . . . . the 2nd date. 2) No bodily harm to either of us by use of sharp objects such as utensils, blunt force instruments and the like. 3) We agree to do one of three things after 30 minutes of meeting each other: a) There is no chemistry felt on one or both of our parts and we have the courage to tell each other so, and cut our losses by saying the tried and true, "It was lovely to meet you, but I don't think that we are a match" b) If there is chemistry and we are both feeling it we can say, "I am completely gobsmacked! I never thought that this personals thing would ever work, but you rock!" (or something to that effect). Last but not least, if there is so much chemistry between us that a government warning may be needed such as, "Warning - Placing these two individuals together without proper protective measures can lead to combustion, or possible explosion where flammable clothes may have to be shed to prevent burns!" If this is the case then it is a safe bet that there will be a second date. We just have to be careful not to get arrested for lewd and lascivious acts in public! But seriously, what I ultimately seek is love, to find my best friend, my confidant, a soulmate to share my life. You know, that person you want to see first thing in the morning lying next to you when you wake up and the last person you curl up with before you fall asleep. That person who forces you whether you like it or not to be the best version of yourself. That person that you were destined to meet because it was written. I know this all seems rather unattainable, and perhaps it is, but I'll never stop searching and believing that there is someone out there that will help me define what I perceive happiness to be.
