| i been told that i wasn't relationship material. which may be true if what one means by 'relationship' is some variant of a neurotic attachment: where two psycho-emotionally wounded beings, ignore glaring incompatibilities and dysfunctions and let transitory lust be the dissipating foundation of a hoped for long term bond. the fallacious character of our human society, where the natural is suppressed and the artificial and superficial elevated; where sharing, cooperation and affection are discredited and instead maximizing personal gain, competition and violence are celebrated, portends great difficulty for the sensitive seekers of communion and contentment. it all comes down to what one values in this precious, fleeting life. how one lives is the truest reflection of what one values. i see the merit of being open to the moment to moment unfolding of this glorious existence... sensing the natural/cosmic order and my place in it. acting in accordance with that order to the extent my deepening self-awareness and conditioning allow. |
