| Originally from Las Vegas,(oh the stories i can tell), the Pacific Northwest is home (23 years now). I love it here! Began Vegetarianism almost 30 years ago for the animals, now health, environment, and conservation also very important to me. The arguments that happen over dietary discussions involving not eating meat can get very interesting! I don't push my diet on anyone, I simply answer their questions as honestly as I can, and cook for friends whenever I can! It's a passion of mine to cook without meat, and share meals with friends whom have no idea that meat flavors can override in so many dishes. I tend to cook a lot of Vegan. My specialties tend to be Pasta Sauces, Veggie Scrambles, although i need to work more with actual Tofu to do Vegan Scrambles. My newest favorite dish is a Potato/Veggie mixture with Anaheim Peppers. I still wear leather(shoes mostly, love my Doc Marten mary janes, despite no longer made in Europe). I have a funny story or a few behind an old leather trench coat, as well as getting the family to understand that vegetarianism wasn't going to be a fad!! I was part of the customers letters that got the Vegetarian 7 Layer Burrito kept on the menu at Taco Bell, many years ago, which helped open their eyes to a whole customer base they didn't realize they had! |

| I am a young 51, attractive, female enjoying life. I am fairly independent, open minded, easy going, non jealous, outgoing, passionate, social, hiking, wandering, camping, picnic hosting, board game playing, whiskey/bourbon/coffee/tea (occasionally beer/wine) drinking, crafting, polyamorous, chocoholic and vegetarian. I am discovering Vegan cheeses, and love non-dairy liquids such as Hemp, Coconut and more, Vegan desserts, and sooo much beyond just Rice and Soy products, every day! I equally have a quiet side that surfaces sometimes, love to stay home, watch movies, make crafty things, read a book, drink tea and talk/listen when someone needs to! I love Gothic, EBM, Synthpop and Eighties Music and much about the genres as well, among others. I always try to be available when my friends need me. I am known for calm, warm, positive home spaces, my warmth, great hugs, and listening ear. An old boss used to call me 'Counselor Kristin' on graveyard shift, since I was so good at making customers smile after having a bad day. People often comment on how much they enjoy the gatherings i host, for many reasons. Some interests listed above i want to start/learn, such as Yoga. |
