| I believe it's unethical to eat animals, for some pretty obvious reasons: it's bad for the animal, it's bad for the consumer, and it's bad for the planet and the human race. I like the description of vegetarianism as 'doing no harm.' I'm mainly vegan, by which I mean I occasionally eat eggs. |

| I was born in New Zealand and lived in Australia and the UK before relocating to New York. I'm an editor and writer, am somewhat intellectual, with my interests being particularly psychology along Jungian lines, quantum theory, poets and poetry. I also love to travel - the third and fourth photos are in Morocco, and the last one is in Rome (apparently he's sitting on a hidden seat!). I like lakes and oceans better than mountains. I exercise regularly, including yoga. I like to eat out, go to good movies, parks, exhibitions, readings, The Moth, and to generally hang out in a relaxing way. I'm into honesty, and honest looking at oneself, and loathe pretentiousness and 'willful blindness' (about eating meat, for example). I think kindness is underrated. I am a young 56-year-old, by which I mean I have a youthful outlook, though people also tend to mistake my age by at least ten years. |

| I'd like to meet someone who is ethically in the right place, brainy, funny and witty, but at the same time serious about important issues such as the environment, ethical eating, feminism, human evolvement. I am not interested in an 'old person,' by which I mean someone who is a bit of a fuddy duddy, though I'd love to meet someone who like myself has a youthful outlook. |
