| While i am vegetarian for health and political-economic reasons, i am vegan for primarily philosophical reasons. As seems to be widely understood, plant-based diets tend to be better for people's bodies. Also, a much larger number of people could be fed with what it takes to raise livestock for consumption. Recognizing the connection between humans exploiting animals and humans exploiting other humans has pushed me to not eat or wear animal products, nor deliberately kill or hold captive animal life forms. |
