| Why I'm Vegan |
| I read a book about factory farming back in 1985 and became a vegetarian that day. To avoid all animal exploitation becoming vegan seemed to me to be the logical progression so I became vegan in 1986 and am a vegan for life now after nearly 30 years. I'm also very concerned about ecological issues so while I'm vegan for animal welfare issues it also makes sense from an environmental/world hunger point of view. |

| More About Me |
| I'm very concerned about all environmental issues. I'm a nurse by profession but at heart I'm a craft worker, I burn designs onto timber (pyrography) and make garden art like dragonflies. I love walking in the countryside, gardening in my wildlife garden, finding frogs in the garden (great excitement!), reading, and going off on trips in my old campervan. I have three dogs - two rescued ex-racing greyhounds and a pointer with three legs who was abandoned and found starving and almost hairless. I tried to start my own woodcraft business (twice...) but I'm a really rubbish businesswoman so I went back to nursing to pay the bills and I play gardening and camping whenever I get the chance. I have a philosophy degree which gets me into all manner of bother as I just ask too many questions about ethical dilemmas at work and stuff... I'm learning to play the harmonica and my dream is to go to art college which I will do when I no longer have to work full-time. My favourite places are either being cosy at home or walking in the Alps, I went to the Swiss Alps for my 50th birthday and it was so totally amazing. |

| I'm Looking For |
| A guy of similar interests, ethos of life and age, for walks, friendship, maybe trips camping and stuff, and just see where it leads. I've been on my own for eight years now (since my marriage broke up) and sometimes its fine but sometimes it would just be lovely to have a nice man to do stuff and share things/experiences with. |
