| I'm a vegan for ethical and environmental reasons, since 1990. All life forms deserve to exist as much as we do(if not more). Health benefits of being a vegan a bonus. Try to buy organic and local whenever possible. 'Silence of the Lambs', the movie, changed my life. When Hannibal Lecter extracts Clarissa's traumatic memory of the lambs being slaughtered, something clicked in my brain. I then read Peter Singer's Animal Liberation soon after and never looked back. |

| I am a left-leaning, bread-loving, published writer(fiction and poetry) and occasional musician. I live for traveling ; hiking, backpacking, scrambling, snowshoeing, cycle touring, music (especially jazz and soul and R&B), and underwater crochet. People who know me appreciate my occasionally goofy sense of humour, although I can be serious as a Bergman film if need be. Been told I'm a very good listener. Not much of a party guy. Don't always look (or act) my age, in a good way. Some of my other interests include reading and film, and I also practice yoga and exercise daily. Meditation as well. A respect and appreciation for nature and the other inhabitants of this shared planet is key to my world view. | I would like to connect with a woman who shares some of my interests and passions, and can maybe introduce me to some of her own.
