| Why I'm Vegetarian |
| I once worked at a Jewish Deli in Uptown Charlotte. I worked closely with the butcher, where beef came into the Store a lot closer to looking like a cow than in a grocery store in a neatly wrapped package. I just got to where, every time I at steak, I would think, "This is cow...this is cow." So I just couldn't live with myself any more eating meat. So, on July 27 1973, after fasting for a week, I became a lacto-vegetarian for three reasons: 1) To stop killing animals to eat; 2) By eating lower on the "food-chain," we could feed more of the world's hungry & thirsty people, and 3) It's healthier. |

| I love the Outdoors (camping, hiking, technical rock-climbing, mountaineering, volleyball, 5-6 ball juggling, whitewater sports, gardening, etc., about anything outdoors) and I have a lot of Indoor hobbies (reading, writing, watching movies, cooking [international vegetarian cuisine], exercising, etc.). I am mystically-inclined, having had ~ 35 mystical experiences of "oneness" through practicing a meditative system of "choiceless awareness." |
