| I am led to be involved in animal rights. I send letters, sign petitions, pray, and advocate for humane treatment of animals, who cannot speak for themselves. I believe, although I am unable to stop our practice of 'denial' by myself, thousands of us together can make a difference. |

| More About Me |
| I'm a creative and deeply spiritual person. I'm a Jesus person, but I'm not religious. My family here in Arizona includes three big dogs and a few cats. I have been evolving and re-assessing habits and beliefs for several years. I am grateful I stepped back and took the time to examine my life and how I'd support my values. It took me a long time to see how my choices directly affect the status quo. Now that I'm clear about not wanting to support factory farming, I have a lot less in common with meat-eaters. I'd like to meet folks who have broached this moral issue, and are moving on in their spiritual walk. My life is very peaceful. I don't like drama. I'm living in the suburbs, something I never thought I'd do. I don't like having to get in a car just to go get a good cup of coffee. My job is in East Mesa.... so I compromise.... I don't like to commute and living out here keeps my commute to only 10 minutes. I like NPR, PBS, history, movies like 'Ice Age,' 'Children of Men,' 'Master and Commander,' 'Cloud Atlas,' Dan Brown movies, 'Maleficent,' 'Kingdom of God,' and AFV. And I'm an amateur videographer. Love telling stories.. I'm hoping that in the years to come, I'll find a niche/community that includes more like-minded people, and ultimately a neighborhood with light rail, and walking to good stores. Thirty years ago, I rented rooms out of the house I had in a college town. Sharing the living space was delightful. I would love to give this kind of house-sharing another try when it's possible, again. |
