| I went vegan after seeing a video on FB of baby chicks being ground up...This was shocking to me that I somehow went through 35 years of life without understanding how the factory farming world works. I quickly went down the rabbit hole on learning about all major vegan topics (animal welfare, environmental, diet/health) and went vegan within days of discovering all this. That was at the beginning of 2016 and there's been no looking back. It was the best decision of my life and opened me up to question everything else about the world we've been unconsciously conditioned to exist in. As a result, my life has continuously improved. |

| More About Me |
| Major interests are: health, wellness, trail running/hiking, music, cooking, art. I'm on my 6th year in Portland and love it up here. Originally from southern OR, but spent a couple years living in Las Vegas from 2013-2015. I often think of relocating to somewhere warmer, but this area has too much to offer in terms of climate/terrain/human diversity. My personality type, according to the Briggs Myers test, is INFP, and I find this to be fairly accurate. I come across as sort of serious and quiet to many at first, but I believe that's just my standard facial expression (RBF)...haha Once people get to know me a little, they see how sarcastic and light-hearted I am. I consider myself to be very understanding and open in conversation. Removing judgement towards others is always in the forefront of my encounters with new people. My energy level is pretty high and I love to experience new things. I have an unshakable optimism about life, so I rarely get stressed out and almost never get upset about anything (unless I saw an animal being harmed). I consciously avoid drama and trivial nonsense situations/people. For the most part, materialistic things do not appeal to me - functionality is much more what I aim for. I would say my views on life and most topics are somewhat unconventional, as I've changed quite a bit over the last 6 years. I question many things that most people have become accustomed to and always look for ways to improve myself, along with our collective as a whole. My last long term relationship was an engagement that ended in 2013. I don't date very much, mostly due to being very picky with who I share my time/energy with. When in a relationship, I give a lot of attention to my partner and enjoy sharing life experiences. Understanding that people evolve and learning to evolve with them in a long term relationship is such a key component I've learned. I'm not here to change anybody and I accept people for who they are. |

| I'm Looking For |
| Looking to meet interesting, like minded people, and see where it goes. Not being vegan is almost a deal breaker for me, as it requires a certain level of alignment between values and lifestyle that for me, is strongly preferred in a partner. Aside from that, I'd like to meet somebody who has a strong lust for life and for becoming a better human during our short blink of existence on this rock, flying through space. Shared interests are great, but somebody who is very open minded, as well as open hearted, is much more important to me. A woman who is up front about who they are, what they stand for, and what their personal interests are, is very attractive to me. It's very common for people to put on masks for the early phases of a relationship, which can eventually dissolve and cause issues as time goes on. This is why I hope a date can be as authentic as possible and just accept how it unfolds. Forcing things and appeasing another usually ends poorly. We're all very different, but we also have so much in common and that part is easy to focus on for me. I can appreciate another's passions, even if they aren't something I'm personally super interested in. If you like sharing any of the following: hiking up mountains, learning about food, time in the kitchen, geek stuff (scifi/fantasy movies and whatnot), outdoor concerts, getting your feet wet in the Pacific Ocean, gardening, being crafty, going to historical locations, museums, camping, spending time in nature, or sometimes just chilling together on the couch watching something fun.... then that's all a bonus. |
