| Why I'm Vegan |
| I have always been confused about why people eat animals. I ate whatever my mother put on my plate growing up but mostly only wanted to eat vegetable and pasta or grains. As a teenager I made a decision to not eat meat again and I haven’t. It just seems like such a strange custom to me. So, I’ve been vegetarian since then and have been vegan intermittently throughout my life. Cheese was always my downfall. But, after seeing the tortuous conditions of dairy animals I just can’t go back to that. Plus, I have cats, and I love them, and they’re animals, and ... well, why would someone want to eat them? |

| About me ... this part is so hard, right? I just turned 50 which is very exciting to me. There is a part of me that is very mature, sensible, responsible, and serious and another part that is more carefree and youthful. I’m a happy person who enjoys life. I’m grateful to wake up each morning. I’m a social worker and love my career. It has always felt like a calling and a big part of who I am. I deeply care about people and their wellbeing. I enjoy being in nature, walking in the woods, or strolling through an old quaint town. I also value my alone time as I tend to be more introverted but very much enjoy the company of kind, intelligent, and interesting people. |

| I'm Looking For |
| I’m not completely clear about what I’m looking for, to be honest. My life feels whole and complete and I would hope that whoever I meet on this site feels the same about their life. That said, companionship would be nice. 🙂 Someone to talk to, do fun things with, travel, cook, eat, and even be quiet with. |
