| Why I'm Vegan |
| I became vegan over 3 years ago, it started with my realization that a whole foods plant based diet was the healthiest diet I could eat. Once I made the connection that I didn't need to eat animals or animal "products" to sustain my health, I couldn't morally justify eating animals or paying for them to be exploited. My eyes are wide open to the issues of animal exploitation, and It's honestly the biggest shame of my life that I took me so long to make this realization. |

| More About Me |
| I think most people who know me would say that I'm knowledgeable about a bunch of random stuff, and that I'm friendly and perhaps a little weird. I would say that I am a seeker. I am definitely driven most by discovery and exploration. I have a reputation among my friends for turning what was supposed to be a simple hike into an adventure or sometimes into a misadventure. I will crawl, scramble, swim, dive, climb, through wild pathless places just for the hope of finding some plant or mushroom that I’ve never seen, smelled or tasted before. I consider myself an explorer in the scholarly sense, and also of the physical world, of myself, and of the body, psyche and soul. I am passionate about life, the life that I am and that same life that manifests itself in so many different miraculous, beautiful, mysterious, weird, and continuously blooming novel ways. I enjoy foraging for mushrooms, medicinal herbs, and wild edible plants. For over a year now I have really dove deep into understanding herbal medicine and using those medicines to improve the health of myself and those near to me. I enjoy finding and exploring hikes and areas that few ever venture to. I enjoy expressing my creativity through my vegetable and medicine garden, herbal medicines, fermenting foods, making wine, growing mushrooms, nature photography, and most of all cooking. I also enjoy surfing, kiteboarding, scuba diving, mountain biking, and paddleboarding from time to time. |

| I'm Looking For |
| I would like to find someone with the same sense of morality, values, and compassion. If I’m being honest I’d like to find a person who is vegan, or is at least on that path. That might seem unfair since it took me so long (32 years) to figure out that exploiting animals is terribly wrong. I suppose I’m looking for someone better than me; someone who figured out a long time ago to listen to their heart. Because, I feel that if we all listened to our hearts we would know that intentionally and unnecessarily harming animals is immoral. I know I'm preaching to the choir on this site! :)))))) I hope I find someone that I admire and who inspires me, and I hope I will do the same for them. I really enjoy good intellectual, philosophical, funny,meaningful, and stimulating conversations and hope to have endless good ones with my partner. In fact it's more than a hope; I honestly don't think any meaningful relationship would last very long without good conversations. I also feel that meaningful conversations can happen without speaking a single word. I want someone who feels like a backpacking trip into the middle of the wilderness is romantic and exciting rather than daunting. I enjoy watching things grow, and providing my own hands to that growth where I can; basically I really enjoy gardening. And someday I plan to expand my gardening operation and build a cob home and live off food of my land. I hope to find someone who shares those same aspirations. I love to cook. And I think sharing a meal that is nourishing for the body and mind is one of the best ways we can share our love and expression to one another. I hope to find someone who shares this view and we could collaborate together and make epic vegan meals. I feel that the intimacy and intensity of physical affection is something that separates a romantic relationship from all others, and it’s certainly something I need in and want to give in a relationship. I hope to find someone with a quirky and perhaps even a really dirty sense of humor. |
