| Why I'm Vegan |
| Oh boy, so many reasons. I guess I'll start off with admitting that I went plant based to lose weight, but it eventually led to an overall love for animals. I also did it from an environmental perspective. At the end of the day, if eating plant based and being vegan wasn't the healthiest diet (it can be) and wasn't the best for the environment (it is), I would still be vegan. For the animals. |

| More About Me |
| So to start things off, my name is John, I'm a 28 year old Canadian man, and I work in social services. In the fall of 2020 I am going back to university to pursue Veterinary Medicine. I have dreams of one day being an ethical veterinarian and opening up my own sanctuary farm. I have a dog, Arthur, and I'm currently living in Belleville, Ontario. Veganism is life. I have several vegan tattoos, and I do vegan outreach, as well as volunteer with a wildlife rehabilitation centre. I'm in decent shape, but I could be better! I have lost a total of 70+ lbs eating plant based, and I exercise regularly (Muay Thai, running, hiking, etc.) I am slowly becoming the person I want to be, and would love for someone to join me so we can reach our goals together! On a side note, I am going into my 6th month of sobriety and have never felt better! Veganism has really opened my mind to other activities we participate in as a society that really go against our better interests and the interests of those around us. Cheers! |
