| Why I'm Vegan |
| Speciesism: the movie helped convince me to look more deeply into psychological similarities between humans and animals. An environmental ethics course also gave me a lot of dedicated time for reflection. After a few years of guilt, watching several movies on the health benefits of a whole-food plant-based diet, and following Derek Simnett’s YouTube channel, I had convinced myself I could learn to cook and keep my strength. |

| More About Me |
| I love being outside: camping, running, hiking, cycling and mountain biking. I’m also getting into skiing and rock climbing. I love technology, especially sustainable technology. Fusion energy and aeroponic farming are two big passions of mine. I love music, especially jazz, electronic and classical. I grew up listening to a lot of classical NPR, playing trombone in bands and orchestras and singing in choirs. I love spending a few late weekend nights a month dancing at an EDM show and going to music festivals in the summer like Electric Forest. I also love plays, poetry, musicals, dance, film, painting (esp landscapes) and sculpture. Especially when I feel particularly struck by the meaning behind a work. I’m new to veganism. It’s been about 2 months (with a small break in NYC where I had trouble finding inexpensive vegan food with my non-veggie friends) but I feel confident knowing I have videos, recipe books and personal motivation to be successful. The words I work to live by are kindness, pacifism, research, open-mindedness and holistic-healthfulness. |

| A soul-mate or a soul-friend who enjoys a bowl of tastily prepared fruits and veggies alongside an occasional bowl of cannabis. Who feels eager to discuss a wide range of ideas often considering the roles of physics, chemistry, biology, psychology, music, art, languages, history, politics, technology and philosophy. My soul-mate should be vegan since sharing food is a huge part of what I love to do, and I would rather my partner arrive at their own ethical decision. They should also be comfortable with drug use, alcohol use, and the idea of going to raves. I definitely open to friends who are still on that journey of self-discovery.
