| I have been plant-based/vegan for 2 years. I initially started losing interest in eating meat so I decided to stop for a day, which turned into a week, and so on. I was still eating fish/dairy/eggs. I came across the documentary Forks Over Knives which changed my world. I started doing research every spare second I had on food and nutrition looking for a way to prevent family of heart disease learning its possible to reverse this. I gave up fish and eventually all dairy, lost 48 lbs in the process and was back to my normal weight. After being plant based for 6 months and continuing health research my ethics and compassion started to kick in more and after researching the horror that is factory farming I became a vegan. I now know too much to ever turn a blind eye again. We are the 1% and I couldn't go back even if I wanted to. That was the short version. |

| More About Me |
| I have lived in NC my whole life, what an be better than having the mountains and beach within a few hours of each other. I have the most wonderful 5 year old daughter who is my world so you must love kids. I love nature to my core so spending time in nature, hiking, hugging trees ;), kayaking, bouldering and being barefoot in contact with the earth. I am not materialistic, I am a dedicated supporter and provider for my family, I am both a strong and emotional man, I love big, I enjoy lots of physical touch and spending quality time with a partner most. I spend a lot of time studying health and the environment but have also been enjoying some self-improvement books lately. To relax I love to listen to music, go to concerts, play and laugh with my daughter, read or draw. I love to cook good food for my family and friends. There is so much more to me so if you want to know ask, I am an open book and love to teach what I know. |

| I am mainly looking for my soul mate but I am open to making some vegan friends to have some great conversation with as well. Dating around is not fun for me and I honestly don't think I can be with anyone long term if they are not at least vegetarian. |
