Why I'm Vegan
I'm vegan because I cannot be anything else. I wasn't born and raised with the enlightenment to respect all life as equal, quite the opposite really. It was a journey for me to realize the indifference of our society toward sentient beings and face my own compliance with this age-old dogma that animals are nothing but tools and food to serve humans. But once I opened my eyes I never looked back.

More About Me
I'm a simple girl, and also as complicated as possible. I take things and people at face value, analyse all but judge none, and motivations matter more to me that actions. I've done one of those Myers-Briggs tests and I'm borderline between INTJ and INFJ which is a pretty good description of my personality. I can't stand chaos, disorder, insecurity and imbalance, so I need, and create order and predictability around me. It doesn't mean that I never get out of my comfort zone or I would not thrive in new adventures, only that I rather think twice before acting than dealing with the regret later. The "que sera, sera" attitude is not one I ever embraced. I'm independent, flexible, self-reliant, and worked hard for years so I can be those things. I value material things only to the extent they provide security, comfort and freedom, but I could not care less about frivolities like fashion, social status, or what the neighbours think. I have led a pretty simple life in the last few years; worked a lot and then washed my brain with sci-fi and fantasy series before starting again the next day. So I became a bit of a couch potato and I know I have to get rid of the few extra pounds that came with a sedentary lifestyle. I'm changing things now (hoping with an infusion of new veggie friends and maybe even a special someone) and making time for the things I like and passionate about. Passing the time in nature, long walks, hiking are good, but active sports are not my thing (yet... but who knows what the future brings). I love reading since I was 4 years old and my grandma thought me how. For fiction, I'm a huge sci-fi and fantasy fan. Asimov, Frank Herbert, Aldous Huxley, Ursula le Guin or Tolkien novels are my all time favourites. For non-fiction I'm into a wide range of scientific disciplines like astrophysics, molecular biology, nanotech, geology, economy and finance, ancient history, and some more non-traditional sciences. One of my favourite quotes is from A.C. Clarke: "Magic is just science we don't understand yet". My ideal night out is gathering with a few friends and let imagination fly as one interesting topic comes up after another and we discuss them thoroughly, learning from each other. Or even just starting a board game in the afternoon that extends well into the night.

I'm Looking For
I'm just walking out from a pretty long relationship where the passion has turned to friendship years ago, and we have grown apart over time. As I have spent the last decade working and not really much else, now I find myself quite isolated with my vegan lifestyle and introvert science nerdy habits and interests. I'd love to connect to people who can identify with those things I've written above. And maybe I can also meet a gentleman who is interested in a gal with all those oddities. Oh, and I'm a devoted slave to three geriatric felines, and we are a package deal.
