Why I'm Vegan
Went vegetarian in 2010, vegan in 2018. Haven't looked back since. :) I actually went vegetarian in 2010 thanks in part to a fellow student. We were both taking a pastry arts program, she vegan, and I an omnivore. In 2nd semester, I bègan asking her questions about veganism and during our food and nutrition course she told me about a book called 'Eating Animals'. I went out and bought it. It's an fantastic book but yesrs later I still can't bring myself to finish it. So that's when I went vegetarian. I would go back and forth between veg and vegan until early 2018. My only regret is not going vegan sooner. I had alot of unresolved trauma to sort through, which I believe added to the level of disociation I was experiencing around animals. Once I resolved alot of my personal traumas, realizing it was time to commit to veganism came naturally and quickly.

More About Me
Hmm....Where to begin? Others describe me as thoughtful, kind, adorable, and funny. I like to be silly :) I had a couple of accidents, and am still recovering but am making gains, and am continually seeing improvements even if small at the time. Bc of this, i can be a bit of a couch potato, especially if im in lots of pain. In the summer, i like to garden, tinker with my car, or spend time near the water or walk in the woods. Im finishing up a work contract this month and am moving to kitchener in April, when I will begin university for an undergrad in psychology. I love travelling and would love the opportunity to live abroad. I study language and body language in my spare time. I speak english french and spanish to varying degrees and have been working on korean, asl, and anishinaabemowin as well. Being near water makes me happy and brings me a sense of peace. Watching standup is a great antidepressant. :) Im always learning, growing, and trying new things. I love to bake and cook - fomally trained pastry chef

I'm Looking For
I believe a relationship is built in trust and mutual respect. I think a relationship is also not about fusing into 1 life (2 become 1) but is the act of bearing witness to eachother's life. Everyone has their own unique skills and interests and its important to celebrate that and allow eachother to explore our humanity and innerselves to contiually grow as individuals.
