| I was a strict vegetarian since age 15. At age 20 I worked as a guitarist for Chubby Checker and others of that era. Mostly concert performances and touring. Needless to say, trying to be vegetarian on a tour bus in the midwest in those days was difficult to say the least and extremely unhealthy. Due to health ramifications I added fish (fruits of the Ganges) and continue to this day. I cook ayurvedic vegetarian and during covid lockdown I did strict vegetarian for two years anticipationg my trip to Holy places of India. At age 15 I became seriously immersed in Eastern Philosophy and yoga where strict vegetarian diet was compulsory. Meat,fish, and eggs prohibited, and also coffee, tea, and cigarettes, and illicit sex. I honestly cant really say I followed the regiment strictly for life, but try to. |
