| A Little about Me Others tell me that I'm enthusiastic, sincere, mindful, quirky, empathetic, idealistic, easily amazed, and playful with a sense of humor some don’t understand. I tend to lean more toward the progressive side with most social and political issues - avoids the 'status quo.' I have a varied set of interests: prolific reader, hiking, camping, musician-in-recovery (not the alcohol type), and occasional backpacking, tennis, xc-skiing, and bicycle commuting. Immersion in Nature is awesome. I admire the Arts, good writing, and avant-garde foreign films, and photography. There’s an admiration on my part for the counter-culture but more often from the sidelines while just as comfortable in rural-conservative settings. Life is about exposure to varied, sometimes challenging experiences and people and believe active learning and study is a lifelong pursuit. I love my vocation (education), even with its occasional demand of time. I thoroughly enjoy meaningful, playful, and witty conversation. I am grateful for the opportunity to live in the Portland area and the Pacific Northwest since moving here more than 22 years ago and am amazed with the variety for potential exploration. There are probably a few more interests not mentioned but always have a penchant for new ideas and experiences. My foundations were formed by living overseas off and on for 10 of my first 15 years as a military brat and am thankful for the exposure and perspective it has provided. |

| I'm Looking For |
| It would be wonderful if you shared a few of the interests mentioned and have strong interests of your own. "Balance" is important and can also appreciate down-time at home. Although it may seem I'm looking for an activity partner, I believe the couple that plays together stays together. What's your opinion about that idea? I am usually attracted to smart, active, hwp women who are purpose-driven, independent, quirky, child-free, enjoys learning new things ("Still water becomes stagnant."), is comfortable within a variety of social situations (EQ), empathetic, and who may have an appreciation for the Sciences or Arts (e.g., painting, playing music). What is your creative outlet? Please reside within the Portland region. Now, the Fine Print Since you’ve read this far, there are a few more items to consider about me that may be deal breakers for some. I’ve been vegan for more than 21 years. I also strive (but am continuously challenged) for the devotional life. For some, these qualities may cause you to run away. Understandable.
