Why I'm Vegan
I had a severe brain injury in a car accident 6/28/89 (Stonewall 20 if I was keeping track) and spent years recovering. I 'lost" all my memory for a time and it was over a decade before I felt somewhat complete. Early in my recovery I met a fellow I dated for 5 years. He was vegan, and after he told me why, about the lives most food animals have to endure before they are butchered, the horrible lives factory farmed animals live, the battery cages most eggs come from, I went vegan within a few weeks. I also fancied myself an environmentalist, and what goes into raising animals for food is incredibly wasteful.

More About Me
I am a healthy 55 year old fellow. My current job is helping care for a quadriplegic man as I figure out what else I want to do. My last relationship was a wonderful 4 years with the man who was, so far, the love of my life. He was not vegan (though he was very attentive to my being vegan) and he tragically died of a heart attack Christmas Eve, 2020. That heart attack was no doubt caused by the previous extremely low activity year and him getting Covid a month before, in addition to Chris adored rich foods. I don't think even 6 days went by in 4 years he did not eat cheese or some kind of full fat dairy.

I'm Looking For
A winning lottery ticket would be lovely. Perhaps I should invest in 1 more often.
